Summary of Job Details:

The Assistant Clinical Director supports the mission of CAPS and the University in providing the highest quality mental health services for diverse students at UCSB. The incumbent performs a wide range of complex tasks with a high level of autonomy, including individual and group psychotherapy with students, consultation, outreach, prevention and mental health education on campus, emergency services, and supervision. Participates in meetings and committees, completing necessary charting and data requirements. The incumbent acts in a manner consistent with the APA code of ethics and in compliance with HIPAA and FERPA requirements. Works independently, completing duties by following established departmental and University policies and procedures. Develops, recommends, and interprets established policies and procedures, and problem-solving are required. Responsible for direct supervision of clinicians, including recruitment and hiring. Conducts annual performance evaluations for supervisees. Provides leadership, direct supervision and consultation to clinical and support staff regarding outreach strategies. Manages the clinical onboarding of new staff and develops and trains new and current staff in policies, procedures, and clinical delivery systems for the agency, including crisis intervention for the campus. Responsible for managing ProtoCall. Creates and maintains clinical reports regarding utilization and clinical flow.

 

Required Qualifications:

• Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from an APA accredited doctoral program.

• Current license as a Psychologist in the State of California (or eligible within 6 months).

 

Special Conditions of Employment:

• CANRA (U13): Mandated Child Abuse Reporter.

• Credentials Verification (U06): For clinical practitioner Works in patient care environment Credentials verification for clinical practitioner- license as a Psychologist in state of CA or eligible within 6 months.

• Maintain current and unrestricted license.

• Occasional evening and weekend hours may be required (remote and/or onsite).

• Employment is contingent on successful completion of our credentialing, privileging, and background check processes.

• Satisfactory criminal history background check

Hiring/Budgeted Salary: $125,000 to $145,000/yr.

Full Salary Range:  $91,300 to $170,700/yr. 

Days/Hours: M-F; 8am to 5pm
