Position Summary
SCAD seeks an experienced professor of business to foster a positive and engaging learning environment at its bustling Atlanta location. In this full-time role, you will deliver courses at the highest quality, demonstrate model leadership, and help advance departmental and SCAD strategic goals.
Duties and responsibilities
As a professor of business within the SCAD general education curriculum, you will help undergraduate students build creative skills with foundational business skills to help them succeed in their degree and future professional pursuits. You will use your depth of knowledge to instill students with key management and analytic skills necessary to launch successful businesses; teach courses and/or contact hours as determined by your credentials; and fulfill other duties and responsibilities as outlined in the faculty handbook and employee agreement.
You will also attend on-ground events throughout the year, including those sponsored by SCAD admission and other public relations assignments. You may be required to participate in special councils or other extracurricular events as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Terminal degree in a relevant discipline
- Experience teaching at the collegiate level
- Knowledge of or experience in closely related industries
- Ability to be credentialed through SACS guidelines or justified to teach
