Junior Workday Financial Analyst
The Claremont Colleges Services (TCCS) is the central coordinating and support organization for a highly regarded cluster of seven independent colleges known as The Claremont Colleges. TCCS, with about 300 staff members, provides exceptional shared services to 9,000 students, and almost 3,600 faculty and staff. TCCS staff work in both student-facing services as well as administrative and operational services. Our numerous departments are located throughout The Claremont Colleges campus in the beautiful city of Claremont, California.
ABOUT THE POSITION:
This is a junior-level position that will be under the direct supervision of the Financial System and Reporting Specialist within the Workday Support Services (WSS) team. The Junior Analyst will support projects and field requests to meet the operational needs of The Claremont Colleges (TCC). Providing support as a member of the WSS team will span across functional, operational, and technical areas within the Workday Financial Management (FIN) pillar and related business systems. The Junior Analyst will work directly with team members and end-users to research requests and issues and document requirements to provide logical solutions within Workday FIN and broader system touchpoints. Additionally, this individual will provide key support across project workstreams on the deployment of Research and Adoption Items.
The Junior Workday FIN Analyst assists with the coordination, maintenance, and implementation of FIN-related workflows in Workday and any other related financial business systems. The Analyst will also support the department in any new FIN-driven systems implementation projects and any other systems that may directly or indirectly intersect with accounting and finance functional areas.

Education : A bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, or a related field; or the equivalent in a combination of education, training, and additional work experience beyond the minimum required.
Experience : At least two (2) years of experience in accounting and financial reporting. Experience using or configuring cloud-based ERP systems is required. Experience with Workday and/or data analysis and reporting is desirable.

COMPENSATION:
Pay : The monthly salary for this position is competitive and commensurate with the duties, responsibilities, and qualifications required for the position, between $6,333.33 to $6,500 per month.
Benefits : This position is eligible for our employment benefits package including:
Work Schedule : The regular hours for this full-time position are 40 hours scheduled from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. May be required to work holiday, weekend, and/or evening hours. Regular hours may vary due to the needs of the organization or business unit. This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule to work partial hours remotely depending on the evolving needs of the project and as approved by the supervisor.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The following are the essential duties and responsibilities the incumbent must be able to perform.
- Interpret financial (FIN) functional customer requests and translate them into logical, configurable solutions while developing and maintaining relevant documentation.
- Serve as technical and functional subject matter expert for The Claremont Colleges.
- Is able to research and make recommendations based on Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Provide daily customer support to The Claremont Colleges by responding to and closing out tickets and by resolving issues as they arise; work with other departments and outside vendors to resolve issues pertaining to Workday touchpoints.
- Cultivate strong relationships with customers and develop a deep understanding of Claremont, the Consortium, and FIN's role within it.
- Gather and document business and technical requirements and support Workday FIN configurations from design to implementation.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS

- Foundational understanding of GAAP.
- Strong verbal, and written communication in English.
- Ability to summarize data in a clear and concise manner and communicate effectively to different stakeholders.
- Proficient with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
- Develop financial reporting for varying levels of management within the region, effectively communicating actionable and impactful insights. Strong interpersonal skill with the ability to foster collaboration and build positive relationships with internal and external constituencies, including with customers and vendors.
- Strong analytical skills with an ability to synthesize and effectively articulate data.
- Some knowledge of project-related activities from active participation in system-related projects.
- Ability to manage time and assignments to meet expectations and strict deadlines.
- Flexibility and comfort adjusting to changing priorities and challenges. Fundamental understanding of and familiarity with maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.
