Auburn University at Montgomery (AUM) invites applications and nominations for the position of Vice Chancellor for Financial and Administrative Services and Chief Financial Officer (CFO). AUM seeks an experienced, dynamic, forward-thinking, and collaborative leader for this opportunity. Reporting directly to the Chancellor, this key executive administrative position is a member of the university’s Senior Leadership Team.

The Vice Chancellor for Financial and Administrative Services is responsible for providing leadership for the financial units including the Controller’s Office, Financial Services, Office of Student Accounts, and administrative units including Facilities, Residential Housing, Food and Retail Operations, Fleet Operations, Building Services and Landscape Management. In total, the Vice Chancellor oversees 150 employees throughout the various units and an annual budget of approximately $110 million. The Vice Chancellor will assist in the preparation of the annual financial statements, coordinate all financial and compliance audits, and direct and oversee the cash management policies and functions. In addition, the Vice Chancellor will provide financial and budget reports to the Chancellor and Senior Staff.

 

The successful candidate will possess a master’s degree in accounting, business administration, or related field; a minimum of eight years of senior comprehensive management experience in all financial management areas; a demonstrated ability to work effectively with a variety of stakeholders, both internally and externally; and a demonstrated track record of implementing creative financial strategies and modeling and maintaining the highest standards of honesty and integrity.
