Assistant Dean for Development and Alumni Relations for the Fox School of Business

<p>Temple University&rsquo;s Fox School of Business (Fox) and the School of Sport, Tourism, and Hospitality Management (STHM) seek an Assistant Dean for Development and Alumni Relations to take the School&rsquo;s development effort to a new level of success and productivity. The Assistant Dean will have broad responsibility and authority to build upon a strong history of development and campaign success within the framework of one of the nation&#39;s top business schools.</p> <p>Based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, a thriving center for business development and corporations, the Assistant Dean will set the strategic direction for Fox&#39;s development efforts to enhance its current level of philanthropic support.</p> <p>The Assistant Dean reports jointly to the Temple University Vice President for Institutional Advancement and to the Dean of the Fox School of Business and STHM. The Assistant Dean will lead a team of nine professional staff members in establishing and implementing overall development strategy; designing, implementing and managing fundraising initiatives; and annual, major and planned gifts programs; cultivating and soliciting major donor prospects for the School, including international prospects and foundation and corporate support; and ensuring the development of an effective alumni relations program.</p> <p>The Assistant Dean for Development and Alumni Relations is responsible for developing and executing long-term strategies for increasing the engagement and financial support of alumni, corporations, friends of the school and targeted philanthropic constituencies. The Assistant Dean will collaborate with nine departments within the business school and work collaboratively with Temple&#39;s central institutional advancement department and the alumni relations division. The Assistant Dean is a key member of the Dean&rsquo;s senior leadership team.</p> <p>The business school has faculty and volunteers that are eager to participate in the development effort, dedicated to the success of the institution, and ready to work closely with the Assistant Dean. The School seeks an experienced development professional with significant leadership experience, preferably with a background in higher education. A successful track record as a builder of teams and programs, strategic leadership, management and operations of development and alumni relations are a requirement, as well as strategic planning and campaign experience.</p> <p>This person will have a demonstrated track record, with a minimum of seven years of experience and success soliciting major gifts from individuals - ideally in the context of a comprehensive campaign.
