Tenure-Track Faculty Position in Mechanical Engineering
ashington University in St. Louis invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in mechanical engineering with research focus in biomechanics and mechanobiology, to begin on or after July 1, 2019. Candidates should have an earned Ph.D. in mechanical engineering, bioengineering, biophysics or a closely-related discipline. The successful applicant will have a primary appointment in the Department of Mechanical Engineering & Materials Science with the possibility of joint appointments in other departments. The faculty member will be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in mechanical engineering, participate in university service, and establish a vigorous externally-funded research program. The open position is at the rank of Assistant Professor; appointment at a more senior rank will be considered for an exceptional candidate with a distinguished record of achievement in research, teaching and service.
