ASSISTANT PROFESSOR – SCENIC DESIGN

WESTMINSTER COLLEGE OF THE ARTS OF RIDER UNIVERSITY, through its School of Fine and Performing Arts (SFPA), announces an opening for a full-time, tenure track appointment in Scenic Design at the rank of Assistant Professor, beginning September 1, 2019 on the University’s Lawrenceville campus.

 

Rider University seeks candidates for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor position within the Technical Theatre program of the School of Fine and Performing Arts.  The successful candidate will hold, at minimum, a Master of Fine Arts Degree and have extensive experience in the field.  Field-related and collegiate teaching experience grounded in scenic design and other areas of technical theatre are desired.  This position will collaborate closely with faculty within the program and school to promote and grow the Technical Theatre degree.

 

As a member of the Department of Theatre & Dance, the candidate will be expected to play an important part in the ongoing development of our already dynamic programs in the School of Fine and Performing Arts, to advise and mentor students, serve on committees, to aid in recruitment and be active professionally.
