VISITING CLINICAL ASSISTANT PROFESSOR OF HEALTHCARE ADMINISTRATION AND MANAGEMENT

The NYU School of Professional Studies seeks a Visiting Clinical Assistant Professor of Healthcare Administration and Management in the Division of Applied Undergraduate Studies. This is a full-time, nine-month faculty appointment with a one-year contract with a preferred focus in the administration and management of healthcare.

Reporting to the Associate Dean of Division for Applied Undergraduate Studies, this position includes teaching and service expectations along with the responsibility to take an active role in curriculum development and delivery, building industry partnerships, advising students, and support in the development of offerings related to healthcare management and administration.

In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $85,000 - $135,000.  New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.

The Division of Applied Undergraduate Studies within NYU SPS focuses on providing career-focused, application-oriented undergraduate programs delivering practical knowledge and skills that prepare students for success in their chosen careers. The Division primarily serves transfer students and degree completers, working adults, military affiliated learners, and others looking to reskill or upskill for continued professional success. Uniquely at NYU, the Division offers associates degree options in business, information systems and management, bachelor’s degrees in leadership and management, information systems management, and social sciences, as well as apprenticeship degrees at the associate’s level, and online options for degree completion of associates and bachelor’s degrees.

The Division’s 13 full-time, more than 200 adjunct practitioner faculty members, and team of full-time professional advisers prepare approximately 670 matriculated undergraduate students to become innovative leaders in their chosen careers.

QUALIFICATIONS 
The successful candidate will possess advanced academic and professional credentials (Ph.D., or comparable advanced terminal degree) in management, administration, and leadership with focus on healthcare design, delivery, and outcomes. The successful candidate will preferably have work experience in healthcare leadership roles and a strong background and experience in access and equity in healthcare delivery and outcomes and the role of technology in the design and delivery of healthcare services. Faculty members should have experience working with a diverse base of professionals and teaching a diverse population of students.
