SCADamp Visualization Coach

SCAD Savannah seeks a highly motivated visualization coach to advance students’ visual presentation skills across a spectrum of formal and informal peak-performance moments with an emphasis on visual communication.

As the SCADamp visualization coach, you will create, promote, and deliver a variety of workshops, trainings, and professional developments to support the SCAD community. Responsibilities include conducting weekly classroom and one-on-one visits, assisting faculty and staff on elevating their presentations, supporting university initiatives, and maintaining accurate coaching records/data.

In this position, you will work both independently and as part of a team in a professional environment, conduct surveys to measure students’ improvement, have a working knowledge of research related to presentation and communication, maintain records of all SCADamp activities, collaborate across all departments and locations, and serve as an ambassador for the program.The coach serves as a collaborative member of a dynamic team and contributes to the achievement of the SCAD mission with a student-centered focus. This team uses their verbal, visual, and interpersonal communication and coaching expertise to strengthen and expand SCADamp's reach across the university community.

Minimum Qualifications:  
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Project management experienceand experience working in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent organization, prioritization, interpersonal communication, critical thinking, presentation, and problem-solving skills with a good work ethic and attention to detail
  • Design mindset in adapting to new direction and initiativeswith the ability to cultivate a positive work environment
  • Advanced experience using Adobe Creative Cloud, PowerPoint, Keynote, and Prezi

Preferred Qualifications:  
  • Degree in graphic design, visual communication, motion graphics, or a related field
  • Significant presentation coaching, acting, or performance experience

Travel Required: Less than 10%  

Work Hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
