Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning: Shape the future of DSU by developing and implementing a dynamic marketing and communication strategy aligned with our institution’s goals and objectives.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a talented team of marketing, communication, and print production professionals, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment that inspires creativity.
- Brand Management: Safeguard and elevate DSU’s brand identity, ensuring consistency across all communication channels to leave a lasting impression.
- Marketing Campaigns: Create and execute captivating marketing campaigns that attract prospective students and employees.
- Public Relations: Oversee our public relations efforts, including media relations, crisis communication, and reputation management, to ensure a positive and resilient university image.
- Event and Retail Store: Supervise the Director and activities of the Trojan Zone and University Events.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with academic departments, admissions, alumni relations, and other university units to align marketing efforts with their objectives, fostering a holistic approach to our mission.
- Digital Marketing: Lead digital marketing initiatives, including website management, social media strategy, email marketing, and online advertising.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or related field (master’s degree preferred).
- Proven experience in marketing or communication roles, with a minimum of seven years of leadership experience.
- Experience in higher education marketing is a plus.
- Strong understanding of branding, public relations, and marketing principles.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic marketing plans.
- Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms.
- Budget management and financial acumen.
- Innovative and forward-thinking with a commitment to staying up to date with industry trends.
