User Support Specialist

Under the general supervision of the User Support Services Manager, the User Support Specialist provides technical support and consultation to staff, faculty and associated equipment within the College of Letters and Science departments and spaces. In an environment consisting of PC and Macintosh hardware, MacOS, Windows, and Unix operating systems, and a variety of network and production applications, serves as a contact for help requests for approximately 1,200 users in over 40 departments. Provides assistance and support across the various services offered within the department.

 

Requirements: Experience in a help-desk setting with both Windows and Macintosh operating systems.  Experience supporting a diverse user base in an academic environment. Technical writing skills and web development skills required. Excellent written and verbal communication skill.

 

Notes: Fingerprint background check required. Maintain a valid CA driver's license, a clean DMV record and enrollment in the DMV Employee Pull-Notice Program.

 

Salary: $23.47-$31.47/hr.
