This position is primarily responsible for interviewing subjects, directing, producing, researching, writing, and editing videos for screen and web, social media, live events, paid advertising, and marketing initiatives. The senior media producer oversees each project from conception to completion while working with communications managers, production managers, videographers, editors, and graphic designers. Their goal is to create video content representing all of SCAD's programs and events to be used throughout various projects.
As the senior media producer, you will build and develop a relationship with your assigned schools and will generate innovative and new ideas to promote SCAD's vision. In this position you will commission vendors as needed, create shooting schedules and shot lists, and preproduce story segments. Your responsibilities include acting as the director and producer at live events, managing and implementing budgets, determining talent and casting needs, and submitting for media organizations and awards. The ideal candidate will be able to make themselves available to assist other producers and videographers when needed.

Work Hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- Relevant experience in communications and media studies and related fields
- Videography, audio, and editing knowledge is a bonus
- Ability to make quick and logical decisions
- Must be personable
