As the departmental administrative assistant, you will support the academic department within assigned schools on department academic projects and university initiatives and collaborate with the academic operations managers to help their academic departments meet requirements and deadlines. This role involves responding to student questions in a timely manner; supporting the department with classes, ELO’s, workshop scheduling, and university events; delivering mail; composing correspondence and maintaining a file system.
As the departmental administrative assistant, you will maintain the department leaders’ calendars/schedules, complete paperwork, order and maintain office supplies, and collaboratewith housekeeping to ensure the building is student-ready. You will greet scheduled visitors and direct them to the appropriate area. This role requires arranging department meetings and preparing agendas, supporting end-of-quarter documentation, and supportingthe university’s operation showcase. In this role, you will besupporting matters requiring confidentiality, accuracy, and the ability to meet deadlines.

Work Hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite software
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
- Commitment to professionalism, honesty, and integrity
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree plus 2-3 year’s related experience
- Successful work experience in an academic environment
