Salary Scale: $170,000 to $180,000 for Associate Professor and $180,000 to $190,000 for
Professor (Dependent upon qualifications) Salary is based on a 12-month appointment and a portion of the Endowed Chair funds.

Position:
The department of Accounting at California State University, Northridge (CSUN) is seeking a tenure-track faculty member in the Nazarian College of Business & Economics at the rank of Associate or Full Professor.
The successful candidate will teach in the Department of Accounting and have research interests in the field of teaching.
In addition to teaching, the position requires weekly office hours, attending faculty meetings, participation in assessment of student learning, and service to the department, college, and university. The successful candidate will be held to the standards and requirements of the college and department in which he/she/they is/are housed for recommending tenure and promotion. Given CSUN’s commitment to excellence in teaching, research, and engagement in a diverse environment, the successful candidate will help the Department achieve equitable academic outcomes for all students through teaching, student mentorship, scholarship, and service.
Required Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Accounting (or in a related field). The doctorate degree must be from program(s) accredited by AACSB International.
- Evidence of excellence in university-level teaching
- Evidence of excellence in scholarship through publication in leading journals
Preferred Qualifications:
- Evidence of leadership roles in the Department, College and/or University.
- Evidence of bringing in funded work in the form of scholarships, contracts, grants and self- supporting training and education programs.
- Relevant prior Professional/Business work experience in the field, preferably in Audit.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification at the time of appointment.
- Evidence of effective engagement OR potential to engage with a diverse student body.
- Experience creating a student-centered learning environment, including active and interactive learning
- Experience using culturally responsive pedagogy that leads to equitable outcomes for all students.
- Research/Lab experience that includes working with students from diverse backgrounds.
- Experience adopting inclusive approaches to mentoring.
