Shippensburg University ( SU ), a premier public university located in south-central Pennsylvania, seeks its next Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs (Provost/VPAA). SU offers more than 250 undergraduate programs, graduate and doctoral programs, international and nationally accredited programs, NCAA Division II athletics and a vibrant and inclusive campus community to over 5,000 students.

Founded in 1871, SU boasts a picturesque 210-acre campus, located approximately two-hours from Baltimore and Washington, DC. SU has a long and proud history centered on serving the educational, social and cultural needs of Pennsylvania students in a technologically evolving world. The University's 340 faculty members are leaders in their respective fields, providing small class sizes and a meaningful, personalized education experience.

Reporting directly to President Charles E. Patterson, the Provost/VPAA provides executive-level leadership and strategic vision for the academic mission of Shippensburg University. The Provost/VPAA should be a forward-thinking leader with the ability to motivate and support innovative teaching technologies and methodologies. They should have broad administrative and academic experience that supports the diverse mission of a comprehensive regional public university, and be a skilled communicator and collaborative relationship builder.
