Master of Arts in Teaching, Tenure-Track Assistant Professor

The Department of Graduate Education, Leadership, & Counseling in the College of Education and Human Services at Rider University in Lawrenceville, NJ announces an opening for a full-time, tenure track appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor, beginning September 1, 2019. We seek a dedicated professional, with a collaborative approach to join our dynamic and growing department and align with the College of Education and Human Services’ Mission of “fostering knowledgeable, committed, and reflective professionals.”

 

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. in Curriculum & Instruction or a related field. Experience teaching in both K-12 and college settings is preferred. Experience in science and/or math education is also preferred.

 

In addition to teaching, the candidate will be involved in program development and assessment the post-baccalaureate teacher certification and Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) program.  The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to the mentoring and advising of students, service to the department, college and university, be active professionally, and maintain an active scholarly agenda. The Rider University community is composed of faculty, staff and students from a wide range of cultural backgrounds.
