Budget & Reporting Director

Reporting to the Director of Financial Services, but working closely with upper administrators, this position oversees the planning, development, implementation, and management of the annual operating budget and manages position control. In addition, this position plays a vital role in monitoring compliance with pertinent federal, state, and local rules, policies, and regulations.
The Budget & Reporting Director, drawing from extensive knowledge of best practices, proven leadership, and problem solving skills, will fully utilize the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, and actively engage with financial managers to improve efficiencies in budget processes and reporting.
In addition, the Budget & Reporting Director will lead the timely development of the annual budget submissions for Board of Trustees (BOT) approval, quarterly BOT actual vs. budget reporting, annual financial statements, and ad hoc requests to internal and external entities. Utilizing sound operational and fiscal stewardship experience, this position will make recommendations and forecasts for financial goals and policies in support of strategic priorities while maximizing the use of funds and ensuring overall operations are within budget.
The Budget & Reporting Director will oversee the planning, development, implementation, and management of the operating budget and foster enhancements and expanded reporting of financial information in support of strategic goals and initiatives. 
The Budget & Reporting Director will have direct responsibility for fixed asset tracking and accounting processes, ensuring effective oversight and internal control procedures are maintained regarding the organization’s assets.
