Lecturer of Health Services Administration

The Ohio University Lancaster Campus in conjunction with the Ohio University Chillicothe Campus is seeking candidates for a non-tenure track position of Lecturer of Health Services Administration to begin January 1, 2019. The selected candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate courses in Health Services Administration or related areas, such as Public Health and Leadership and Management of Health Care Organizations on both the Chillicothe and Lancaster campuses. Potential teaching formats include traditional classroom, online/blended and video conferencing between two or more campuses. Responsibilities also include planning course rotations, academic advising, vetting new adjuncts, participation in new major recruitment events on both campuses, and directing practicum and internship experiences. The Lancaster Campus will serve as the home campus for office space and administrative functions such as promotion.

 

Applicants must have an earned Master’s Degree in Health Services Administration or related field or an MBA/PhD in Business Administration with significant administrative experience in health services at time of application. An earned doctorate in health services administration or closely related area is preferred. Significant leadership experience in health services also preferred. Commitment to active learning, use of technology in the learning process and outreach programs is a plus.

 

The Ohio University Lancaster Campus is located about 25 miles south-east of Columbus; Ohio University Chillicothe Campus is located 40 miles west of the Lancaster Campus. Ohio University Athens Campus is located 45 miles and 60 miles south respectively of the two regional campuses. Both regional campuses have approximately 2,200 traditional and nontraditional students enroll each semester in associate and bachelor degree programs.
