Associate Director of Giving

SCAD Savannah seeks a strategic associate director of giving to oversee the cultivation of alumni, private donors, industry supporters, and granting institutions to create new scholarship opportunities, strengthen existing offerings, and continue to build the SCAD endowment.
In this full-time position, you will use your expertise in philanthropy to plan and implement campaigns designed to increase and strengthen support from potential donors throughout the U.S. You will manage all gifts-in-kind donations and work effectively with all parties to ensure successful procurement of items and equipment that support the SCAD mission. Among other duties, you will also lead the department’s efforts to increase planned giving opportunities.
The successful candidate is highly analytical with a proactive, solutions-focused approach to customer service. Stellar interpersonal communication skills are essential, as is a keen eye for detail and a knack for excellent time management. The candidate must be able to prioritize and perform work with competing deadlines and should be knowledgeable about internal and external annual giving campaigns. Experience fundraising, maintaining prospect information, using data management systems, and managing development operations is vital.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline
  • Minimum of four years of relevant professional experience
  • Proven ability to maintain departmental budgetary and fiscal standards
    Advanced computer literacy, including the ability to use word-processing, spreadsheet, database, and project software

Certificates, licenses and registrations: Valid driver's license

Work Hours:The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. In order to accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other work days and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
