As the compliance investigator, you will conduct thorough investigations, identifying potential compliance violations and recommending corrective actions to maintain a culture of integrity and transparency within the institution. While your primary focus will be on investigations relating to the governance policy, you will also play a vital role in conducting investigations regarding other university policies such as the as the sexual misconduct policy and HR policies.
In this position, you will conduct prompt, equitable, and impartial administrative investigations into complaints by collecting and analyzing evidence, interviewing relevant parties, and reviewing documents to make findings of fact in each case.As the investigator you will prepare clear and comprehensive investigation reports and present investigation results to relevant stakeholders to facilitate decision-making and implementation of corrective measures. You will additionally assist in conducting periodic audits and reviews to assess compliance across various departments and functions.
The ideal candidate can maintain neutrality and work well under stress while listening attentively and demonstrating sensitivity to and respect for individual needs. They must be able to foster and maintain a climate that is supportive of students, faculty, and staff and respectful of differences.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in law, business, ethics, human resources, or a related field
• Minimum of three years of relevant experience in compliance investigations
• Strong knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards related to higher education and compliance
• Excellent communication and multitasking skills, with the ability to articulate complex issues clearly and concisely
• Analytical mindset and attention to detail to conduct thorough investigations and assessments while working both collaboratively and independently
Certificates, licenses, and registrations:
• Professional certifications in compliance, investigations, or related fields are a plus
Travel Required:
Work Hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
