Content Shooter/Editor, Social Media

As a content creator, you will work alongside the creative services team and social media manager to create short-form video content for various social media platforms. Along the way, you will complete production reports, assess equipment for needs and repairs, and communicate with influencers and students for user-generated content when needed. Though you will be responsible primarily for shooting and postproduction for marketing purposes, you may be enlisted for longer projects as well.

The successful candidate demonstrates a strong understanding of visual storytelling and elevated imagery, has their finger on the pulse of new shooting styles and content trends, and approaches all assignments with innovation and enthusiasm. They are a lifelong learner, continually seeking inspiration and providing recommendations to keep SCAD at the forefront of visual media.

Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Relevant experience in content creation for social media and other online platforms
  • Strong technical knowledge of video and photographic processing, editing, and distribution formats
  • Ability to ideate, shoot, edit, and post quickly, adhering to deadlines
  • Ability to work outside office hours and travel domestically and internationally on short notice

Travel Required: 10 to 20%

Work Hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other work days and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
