As the director of branded content, you will oversee the development of SCAD TV channels, leading brainstorming sessions and giving effective creative notes before final approval. Your responsibilities will include managing a budget, writing creative briefs, observing viral trends of social media to make relatable content, and scheduling check-in meetings with relevant teams. The director encourages creative ideas and experimentation while setting measurable performance goals and realistic timelines. In this position you will identify and raise potential improvements to senior staff, hire and manage freelance teams as needed, and process invoices as jobs are completed.
The ideal candidate must be able to understand strategic prioritization and can lead the team in growth and direction while meeting deadlines. They must be comfortable in assuming a leadership role and demonstrate excellent communication skills along with the ability to multitask. In this position, you will lead the development and execution of high-impact SCAD branded film and video projects with the aim of garnering recognition for SCAD and advancing the university's vision of global preeminence in art, fashion, design, film, and culture.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree and at least 10 years of relevant experience
• Ability to work independently while also providing leadership and strategic thinking for relevant teams
• Knowledge and understanding of the television and on-demand landscape with a proven ability to create relevant, unique, and high-level content
• Experience in storyboarding, episode overviews, shot lists, interview questions, and physical production as well as giving creative notes and workshopping ideas
• Extensive knowledge and experience with traditional and new technology photo and video tools

Work Hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
