Colorado College seeks a strategic, innovative, and transformational leader to join a collaborative senior leadership team as the Vice President of Enrollment.

A private, four-year liberal arts college with roughly 2,300 undergraduates, Colorado College (CC) draws upon the adventurous spirit of the Rocky Mountain West. CC is the only institution of its kind in the region and is known for challenging educational norms. The innovative Block Plan , where students take one class at a time for three-and-a-half weeks, creates a transformative educational experience and a vibrant community of scholars eager to communicate, debate, defend, think and engage.

This is an exciting time to join Colorado College. President L. Song Richardson, a legal scholar, dedicated educator, lawyer and expert on implicit racial and gender bias, became the college's 14th president on July 1, 2021. Under her leadership, CC implemented a commitment to antiracism and elevated mental health and well-being to a key priority for the college, with an expansion of support and resources for students, faculty, and staff. Recently, CC received the 2023 Higher Education Excellence in Diversity (HEED) Award from INSIGHT into Diversity for its outstanding commitment to diversity and inclusion.

Reporting directly to the President and serving as a key member of the President's Cabinet, the Vice President for Enrollment will be a thought leader who will help Colorado College think deeply around the questions framing CC's campus-wide evaluation Project 2024: "How can we do what we do better?" and "What challenges facing higher education most affect Colorado College?" As the college looks to the future, it will expect the Vice President to provide visionary leadership to transform enrollment, particularly in the areas of reimagining strategies to craft the student body, evaluating the use of financial aid to attract students, and enhancing CC's narrative to demonstrate its distinctiveness and advance its competitive position. The Vice President will also develop and nurture collaborative partnerships throughout the college, cultivate and support a dedicated staff, and foster a data-informed culture.

The ideal candidate will embrace CC's long history of thinking differently and possess an unwavering dedication to Colorado College's liberal arts mission and antiracism commitment. The Vice President will be a recognized thought leader in enrollment who has a hunger for transformational change and is ready to play a vital role as a member of CC's leadership team and take courageous action to support the college's mission and vision. With broad knowledge of the higher education landscape, the Vice President will identify emerging opportunities and challenges and connect those to enrollment strategies, employing a sophisticated understanding of predictive modeling, modern marketing strategies, student demographics, net tuition revenue, and pricing forecasts to achieve institutional aspirations and enrollment and budget goals. An exceptional track record of increasing compositional diversity of the student body and an ability to operationalize antiracism are essential for success. The Vice President will have a consultative and motivational management style, a willingness to listen and learn, skill in synthesizing the thoughts of others, respect for the complexities and challenges of people's work, and the ability to help colleagues successfully navigate change. A solutions-based, student-centric approach; outside-the-box thinking; ability to move at pace; and a demonstrated collaborative spirit will be assets for the role.
