Vice President for Enrollment Management and Dean of Admissions

Dickinson College, a highly selective, residential liberal-arts college of national standing, is seeking a vice president for enrollment management & dean of admissions (vice president) to assume an important leadership role in fulfilling the institution's mission and attracting, enrolling, and supporting a talented and diverse student body.

Chartered in 1783, Dickinson is known for its bold and innovative curriculum. A leader in sustainability and global education , the college offers its 2,100 students 46 majors with signature programs in international studies, data analytics and sustainability. The college runs its own study abroad programs in 14 countries and offers more than 50 study-abroad programs in 24 countries on six continents, as well as study in 13 languages. The 180-acre campus of Dickinson College is located in the heart of historic Carlisle, Pennsylvania , which was named one of the country's best places to raise a family by Forbes magazine and was voted one of America's "most livable cities." Dickinson boasts one of the most beautiful college campuses in the region, and Carlisle is readily accessible to New York City, Baltimore, Philadelphia and Washington, D.C.

Reporting to the president, the vice president will work in concert with the president and other senior officers to determine the strategic positioning of the college with primary responsibility for admissions and financial aid. Bringing a strong commitment to collaboration and engaging others in enrollment priorities, the vice president will develop and implement a bold, creative and strategic enrollment plan that embraces the best use of current technology and data partnered with a highly personalized approach to attract an increasingly broad student population. The vice president will guide the college's efforts to communicate the distinctive elements of a Dickinson education, leading to the recruitment of talented students and the development of meaningful relationships that support student retention and promote a lifelong connection to the college.

The current energy that permeates throughout Dickinson will extend into a bold vision for enrollment. As a senior officer of the college, the vice president will be an institutional leader capable of developing an ambitious and forward-thinking plan for their area while furthering college-wide goals and priorities. The vice president will be an experienced enrollment professional who is a compelling advocate for liberal-arts education and thought leader in the field. The new leader will display a sophisticated understanding of data and cutting-edge enrollment techniques; an engaging leadership style; a commitment to diversity, inclusion and access; and the communication and interpersonal skills to generate excitement about the college's distinctions.
