The Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of Massachusetts Lowell is seeking an outstanding individual for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level beginning in Fall 2019. The ideal candidate must have at least one degree (B.S., M.S. or Ph.D.) in Chemical Engineering and must have the Ph.D. degree at the time of application.

 

The candidate will contribute to our undergraduate and graduate teaching programs and enhance the diversity and excellence of the academic community through a combination of research, teaching and service.

 

Applicants from all areas in chemical engineering are encouraged to apply. Preference will be given to applications in advanced materials engineering (e.g. biomaterials, nanomaterials) or bioengineering. The successful candidate will develop a strong externally funded program with opportunity to collaborate with faculty in other disciplines.

 

Highly qualified candidates with an exceptional record of teaching and research, an established record of extramural funded research, and a demonstrated interest in collaborative research may be considered for a senior level appointment.

 

Minimum Qualifications (Required):

  • A Ph.D. is required at the time of application
  • Applicant must also have at least one degree in Chemical Engineering (B.S., M.S. or Ph.D.) at the time of application
  • The ability to work effectively with diverse groups
