Job Description |
The Department of Dance at Hope College seeks applicants for an Assistant Professor of Dance Instruction position that will begin July 1, 2024 (but not on campus until August 15, 2024). A terminal degree is preferred but not required. The successful candidate will be a recognized instructor/performer/choreographer with proven tested professional experience, and qualified to teach multiple levels of Hip Hop and tap. Ability to teach additional technique classes (jazz and/or world dance), as well as dance theory courses (dance history, dance pedagogy, etc.) would be beneficial. The applicant should have imaginative and recognized choreography in their field, with an interest in participation/directorship of an affiliate pre-professional company. Individuals with a clear enthusiasm and record of teaching students of various technical levels in both departmental and general education courses in a liberal arts setting are encouraged to apply.
