SMU’s Cox School of Business invites applications for an Endowed Chair in Finance position at the associate or full professor level. The ideal candidate should have a Ph.D. in Finance or a related field, a strong publications record in the top finance and economics journals and a national reputation for high quality research, and be able to demonstrate a record of high quality teaching. The Finance Department offers courses in the School’s BBA, MBA, MS and EMBA programs. The position will begin Fall 2019.

The Cox School is a nationally ranked business school located in Dallas, Texas, the premier business center in the US Southwest. The Finance Department has a well-respected research faculty and excellent relations with the corporate and business community, providing a unique and exciting environment for high-quality research. The School offers a collegial working environment, generous faculty support and outstanding facilities. The DFW Metroplex has a relatively low cost of living as well as myriad cultural and recreational activities.

Priority will be given to applications received by October 1, 2018 although the committee will continue to accept applications until the position is filled.
