As the library associate you will assist students and faculty members in finding relevant resources to support their academic and creative projects, open and close the library, and ensure the secure and efficient operation of the library during nights and weekends. In this position you will take ownership of book stacks maintenance, collaborate with the Savannah library to fulfill inter-campus book and article requests, and assist in receiving and processing new items to enhance the library's collection.
Additionally, you will participate in outreach activities aimed at promoting the library's resources and services to both students and faculty and contribute to the development of marketing materials and strategies to increase awareness of library offerings. You will also assign tasks to work-study students, ensuring their effective utilization within the library, providing guidance and supervision in support of their professional development.

Work Hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college
- Strong customer service orientation with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Knowledge of library systems, cataloging, and database searching
- Ability to work independently, handle multiple tasks, and adapt to changing priorities
- Proficiency in library software and technology
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in library science or a related field from an ALA-accredited institution
- Experience in academic libraries and familiarity with art and design resources
