Reporting to the President of the University of Colorado, the Chancellor is responsible for the leadership and direction of the campus and its strategic relationship with the broader Colorado Springs community.

Accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and serving about 8,900 undergraduate and 1,800 plus graduate students, UCCS has grown into a respected Colorado university with over 1,150 faculty, and 800 staff. The successful candidate should  possess a Doctoral degree, equivalent terminal degree, or equivalent combination of education and professional experience; deep experience in the administration of large and complex organizations; knowledge of the academic mission of teaching, discovery, and service with a commitment to academic freedom, free expression, faculty tenure, and shared governance; a demonstrated commitment to fostering an inclusive and welcoming culture that embraces diversity in all its forms and promotes equity and inclusion in all aspects of college life; and proven leadership in forging private and public partnerships and in developing relationships and obtaining significant resources from corporate, foundation, non-profit, and other private entities.
