Reporting to the Vice President for Enrollment Management, this position is charged with enhancing the critical function of enrolling right-fit students at a liberal arts college focused on the intellectual and personal development of its solely undergraduate population.
Ursinus has been passionately dedicated to undergraduate-focused liberal education since its founding 152 years ago - a reason why Ursinus was one of the inaugural members of Colleges that Change Lives and remains one of only 44 colleges and universities nationwide to hold that unique designation. The College is located on a 170-acre campus just 25 miles from Center City Philadelphia in the town of Collegeville. With 1,500 students, Ursinus is unwavering in its vision to make personalized, undergraduate education more valuable and accessible than ever.
The Director leads a motivated admission team striving to not only meet the college's enrollment targets but also firmly ensconce the brand promise among varied constituencies. Leading members of the counseling staff and overseeing the overall operation of the admission office, the Director works collaboratively with Enrollment Division senior leadership to organize and implement a highly efficient, team-based enrollment management model. This includes oversight of key enrollment indicators, comprising the academic and personal qualities of the incoming first-year and transfer classes and their persistence to graduation.
The ideal candidate for the Director of Admissions position should have a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, supervisory experience, and, at least six years of progressively responsible experience in college admission, preferably in a liberal arts college, as well as experience with the development, implementation, and evaluation of marketing and recruitment strategies.
