Tenure-Track Faculty Positions in Synthetic or Physical Chemistry

The School of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the Georgia Institute of Technology invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in the areas of experimental physical chemistry or synthetic/organic chemistry, broadly defined. All subdisciplines or interdisciplinary activities within those general fields are welcome; note that opportunities exist for joint appointments in other departments of science and engineering to facilitate interdisciplinary research and scholarship. Applicants will be considered at all ranks. Candidates are expected to demonstrate exceptional commitment to the teaching and mentoring of students and trainees.

Job Responsibilities include research, teaching, mentoring students, and service activities. Research expectations include the establishment and maintenance of a high-quality research program, successful fundraising from external funding agencies, the publication of peer-reviewed papers, and the effective mentoring of trainees at levels appropriate to their career aspirations. Teaching expectations includes the delivery of high-quality courses in a classroom or instructional laboratory setting, providing effective training to students and trainees in the research setting, and participating in departmental activities focused on the education of our students.  

Minimum and Preferred Qualifications: a Ph.D. degree or equivalent is required.
