Hiring/Budgeted Salary or Hourly Range: The budgeted salary range that the university reasonably expects to pay for this position is $70 – 80K
Full Salary Range: The full salary range for the position is $67 – 82K
Salary offers are determined based on final candidate qualifications and experience; the budget for the position; and the application of fair, equitable, and consistent pay practices at the university.

We are seeking Grant Administrator to work remotely on a full-time 37.5-hour per week basis. This position may also work in our Santa Barbara or Washington DC offices if desired.
Summary
Working under the supervision of the Director of Operations, the Grant Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day administrative and budgetary support and coordination of a project which is funded by the federal, state, or local government, by a foundation or by a private donor agency. The incumbent identifies grant opportunities and prepares grant applications to secure grants. This position also assists in project development and implementation and is responsible for assisting in coordinating all relevant project activities; communicating with staff, participants, and relevant Fielding national staff; and for maintenance and oversight of all financial records in collaboration with relevant Fielding financial staff, including processing of expenditures and personnel appointments. This position requires competencies across many functional areas. It requires strong managerial, organizational, analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving experiences and skills, as well as a background in federal grants management, including financial management, budgeting, fund accounting, and personnel management. The incumbent is expected to have an in-depth understanding of grants administration and possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in area generally related to accounting, finance, or higher ed administration with 3-5 years of federal or foundation grants management experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and work experience. Master’s Degree preferred.
Minimum two years’ foundation grants experience involving fiduciary oversight and maintenance.
Strong program, budget, and financial management skills.
Demonstrated skills in project coordination and process management and improvement
Detail oriented with strong interpersonal and organizational skills involving people and projects
Ability to think analytically and creatively
Ability to relate well to a diverse group of people at various levels (staff, faculty, students)
Skilled at and willing to resolve differences through negotiation
