Lecturer in Music/Assistant Director for Academic Programs (Two-Year position, full-time, non-tenure

Facilitates school objectives by assisting and leading in both daily and long-term academic operations, programming, and planning for the School; interpreting and communicating regulations, requirements, and criteria to students and faculty; explaining academic guidelines and procedures to faculty, parents, students, and staff; supervising faculty in academic advising; first-year student advising; determining policy and procedure improvements and implementing changes individually and/or in consultation with the Director; instructing in applied music, ensembles, or classroom as assigned based on individual qualifications and expertise. Participating in School activities appropriate for a faculty member at a top-tier university with a strong commitment to excellence in teaching and scholarship. Other duties as defined by the Director of the School of Music.  Qualifications Required: Master’s degree or equivalent in music; 3 or more year’s college-level teaching, advising, and administration experience desirable. Superior organizational, prioritization, and communication skills with individuals both inside and outside the institution.
