Assistant Professor, Big Data and Geographic Data Science

The Department of Geography at Texas Christian University invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position in big data and geographic data science to commence in August 2019. A Ph.D. in Geography is required by the time of appointment. The sub-field of specialization is open.

The successful candidate will be expected to pursue an active research and publishing program and seek external funding opportunities. Teaching responsibilities will include an introductory course in World Regional Geography as well as upper-division courses in quantitative methods and her/his area of expertise. Applicants from groups traditionally under-represented in the academy are especially encouraged to apply for the position.
