Bentley University invites inquiries, nominations, and applications for the position of Dean of Business.

Bentley University seeks the next Dean of Business who will be charged with enhancing the University’s national brand, reputation, and endowment. The Dean will work collectively across the institution with faculty, staff, and other University leaders to strengthen the breadth and depth of business programs offered by the school. The Dean will provide intellectual and creative leadership and will partner with department chairs and program directors in academic program planning and review. In addition, the Dean will promote the mission and values of the University to both internal and external audiences.

As Bentley University embarks on a new era of leadership, under the direction of incoming President Alison Davis-Blake, and Provost Lynne Rosansky, the Dean of Business will work alongside the new Dean of Arts & Sciences to shape the academic direction and future of the institution. Working in partnership with faculty, Bentley’s next Dean of Business will champion Bentley’s nationally recognized programs, rooted in a legacy of accounting and finance, while thinking innovatively about undergraduate and graduate business programs to meet the needs of students as business education evolves. The Dean of Business will partner with university administration and faculty during the process of undergraduate curriculum revision to set the vision to take the institution forward, while valuing and maintaining Bentley’s history and culture. The Dean will be invested in and dedicated to faculty development and thought leadership regarding inclusion and equity. The Dean is expected to fundraise for the institution; partnering with university advancement, the Dean will engage regionally, nationally, and internationally to attract financial support from Bentley alumni, private philanthropic, corporate, and extramural funding sources. The ideal candidate will have an earned doctorate in an appropriate field and be eligible for appointment at the rank of Professor, or equivalent experience appropriate to the Dean’s role and responsibilities.
