Assistant Director, Financial Aid

Ohio University is currently accepting applications for an Assistant Director of Financial Literacy and Assistant Director of Student Employment and Study Away.

Assistant Director of Financial Literacy ( This position will develop and manage a financial literacy educational program within the Office of Student Financial Aid and Scholarships. They will initiate programming and lead outreach efforts promoting financial wellness, include corresponding with students in various venues, both in-person and virtually. The position will develop and coordinate loan default prevention efforts. The individual will counsel students and parents on all financial aid and scholarship matters as well as monitoring various financial aid and scholarship eligibility.

Assistant Director of Student Employment and Study Away ( This position will manage the Federal Work-Study (FWS) program which involves monitoring earnings in three online systems, resolving system errors, analyzing earnings and fund balances, and making additional awards as funds are available. This position will also manage the Program to Aid Career Exploration (PACE) including annual system testing and start-up, both mass communications and individual correspondence with employers and students, managing PACE hiring cycle, providing trainings, working with IT, and serving as director of the PACE committee. Responsible for testing online systems and interfaces with PeopleSoft. This position also counsels and processes system information for students participating in Study Away programs, consortium agreements, and transient study. This person will have a student advising load.
