Faculty Recruiter

As a faculty recruiter at SCAD, you will collaborate with HR, academic leadership, and other members of the university’s hiring committee to determine faculty needs. The ideal candidate will find strategic and creative solutions for sourcing and expanding faculty and will determine appropriate venues for advertising open positions. You will be expected to write advertisements as needed. Faculty recruiters must manage applicants and postings in PageUp which includes prescreening résumés, forwarding qualified candidates to the department, and arranging interviews. You will then participate in the interview, evaluating candidates with supervisors to make the best decision. When a selection is made, the recruiter is responsible for extending the formal offer of employment, initiating paperwork, completing background checks, and conducting reference checks. In addition, you will maintain applicant files for retention purposes while ensuring the confidentiality of all information.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Two to three years of experience in human resources and higher education
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to travel

Travel required: 10 to 20%

Certificates, licenses, and registrations: Valid driver’s license

Work Hours:The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
