Assistant/Associate/Full Professor of Education

Dakota State University is accepting applications for a 9-month, tenure-track position in education. The position may include teaching courses in general education, reading pedagogy, language arts pedagogy, and special education. Rank and salary will be determined based on the applicant’s qualifications and experience.

The start date of this position is Fall 2023.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • The position requires an earned doctorate in education. ABD candidates may also be considered. A terminal degree must be completed within two years.
  • K-12 teaching experience and teaching with technology.
  • Ability to teach undergraduate and graduate students.
  • Ability to develop a strong and active research agenda.
  • Effective written, oral, and interpersonal skills.


DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with a yearlong residency professional development model is preferred.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Teaching undergraduate and graduate education courses.
  • Depending on qualifications, responsibilities may also include graduate courses in educational technology integration, e-learning, and computer-supported collaborative learning.
  • Researching and publishing relevant scholarship.
  • Active pursuit of grant and funding opportunities.
  • Additional duties may include advising students, serving on university committees, assisting with recruitment activities, supervising field experiences, and/or engaging in ongoing assessment.
