As the admission assistant, you will primarily answer incoming telephone calls for the university’s central phone line and direct the incoming callers to the appropriate staff at all locations. Additional responsibilities include greeting all guests and visitors and directing them to the appropriate staff; managing the distribution of the admission@scad.edu email account, forwarding emails to the appropriate staff member within 24 hours of receipt, and maintaining email volume at all times of the recruitment cycle; assisting in mailing all outgoing acceptance and scholarship letters and deposit-paid packets on a daily basis; and managing the ordering of supplies needed for all of the mailings mentioned above.
Providing additional administrative support as needed, you will assist in LiveAgent shifts, assist in opening and sorting regular incoming mail to staff for all locations, redirect mail to the proper department, process return mail as it arrives from the distribution center and indicate bad addresses in the CRM for accurate record keeping, and index all acceptance and scholarship letters that are generated by the mail and coding team.You will also participate in scheduled activities for SCAD Days, special events, and in evening and weekend work as requested.

Work hours:The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
