Radford University is an NSA/DHS Center for Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense Education. The University has a strong undergraduate cybersecurity curriculum embedded in two BS degrees: Computer Science and Technology and Information Science and Systems and an MS degree in Data and Information Management. Students consistently place among the top in cyber defense contests nationwide. A new BS degree in Cybersecurity is in the final stages of approval. Funded by grants from the NSA, the Department has a strong outreach program to K-12 and community college students and educators.  All of these activities are supported by a state of the art virtualized infrastructure that provides cyber range capabilities not only to students but to educators and collaborators across the nation. With a huge investment from the state, this infrastructure will be enhanced to include IoT and big data security infrastructure in a new cybersecurity lab expected to open in Fall 2019.  Faculty can use/adopt and manage this infrastructure to support their teaching and outreach activities.  Faculty will have several opportunities to collaborate, expand and shape the cybersecurity curriculum/outreach at Radford University.
