Associate Vice President for Enrollment Management
Florida Atlantic University (FAU), a dynamic public research university serving Florida’s southeast coast, seeks an experienced, strategic, and innovative leader to build FAU’s comprehensive enrollment infrastructure and drive the institution to new levels of success in recruitment, enrollment, and retention.
The Associate Vice President will join FAU during a time of great momentum and transformation, partnering with a talented team to achieve the University’s enrollment ambitions as outlined in FAU’s 2015-2025 Strategic Plan for the Race to Excellence. This plan outlines the University’s aspiration to pursue, with unbridled ambition, the intention of becoming the nation’s fastest-improving public research university.
FAU’s inaugural Associate Vice President for Enrollment Management will develop, articulate, and implement the vision for a new era of enrollment management that leads to greater strategy, coordination, and analytical rigor to every phase of the enrollment process across the University. Providing leadership and management for Admissions, Student Financial Aid, New Student Orientation, and Transfer Student Services, the Associate Vice President will bring greater synergy and interdivisional collaboration throughout the unit. As a visible institutional leader, the Associate Vice President will be an open communicator and collaborator across the University and be responsive to the many partners interested in the enrollment effort, including senior leadership, deans, faculty, staff, and students.
The Associate Vice President for Enrollment Management will be an exceptional leader of people and programs with the interpersonal skill to create a community of enrollment champions. The successful candidate will display a record of success in enrollment management; the ability to create and execute forward-thinking recruitment and marketing strategies; a record of evidence-based decision making and exceptional analytical skill; and the ability to harness data and information to further retention strategies. An appreciation for and commitment to the values of diversity, access, and inclusivity are essential, as is the skill to engage with people of many backgrounds and to build effective relationships with multiple constituencies.
Founded in 1964 in Boca Raton, FAU is on a strong trajectory. With one of the nation’s most diverse student bodies, FAU was recently federally designated as a Hispanic Serving Institution. The University is expanding its unique honors education opportunities and its novel, nationally-recognized undergraduate research program. FAU is also in pursuit of the Carnegie classification for Community Engagement. FAU’s ten colleges deliver more than 170 academic degree programs to over 30,000 students at the bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral levels
