SUNY Geneseo, a forward-looking, selective public liberal arts college with a rich tradition of academic excellence, seeks an experienced academic leader to serve as the Dean of the School of Business. The Dean of the School of Business is a direct report to the new Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs and participates in the Provost's Leadership Team for the successful development of academic policy and the maintenance of academic quality in the School of Business.

Required Experience:
• Doctoral degree in business or a related field, most preferably from an AACSB accredited institution of higher education
• A record of scholarship, teaching, and service accomplishments that would warrant a tenured full professor appointment in the School of Business
• A record of effective academic administrative experience and successful collaboration with external partners
• Demonstrated commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive working/teaching environment.'
• Demonstrated experience with institutional or disciplinary accreditation processes.

Desired Skills & Attributes:
• Commitment to consensus-building and transparent and collaborative leadership and communication style
• Experience with strategically developing new learning opportunities including a mix of for-credit academic experiences (e.g., degree or certificate programs, micro-credentials, and course offerings) and non-credit administrative programs (e.g., alumni programming, community outreach and engagement, professional development for community or corporate partners)
• Demonstrated passion for student success and the student experience.
• Experience with enrollment management and growing enrollment.
• Visible and accessible faculty leader.
• Experience evaluating and reshaping curriculum to meet current and future student learning needs.
• Ability to develop community relationships and new funding sources.
• Ability to lead the Business Advisory Council to the School in ways that enhance programming, career opportunities, and funding.
• Bias for action and a record of setting and surpassing goals.
• Excellent listener, strategic thinker, and problem solver.
• Experience with AACSB policies, standards and the accreditations process.
• An appreciation for all disciplines represented within the School of Business and a demonstrated commitment to liberal learning, and ability to situate professional education in the context of the College's liberal arts mission.
• Demonstrated commitment to working within a shared governance environment.
• Experience teaching and/or leading in a union environment.
