As a full-time director of executive media, you will lead the executive media team and will be responsible for the development, creative direction, and implementation of social media content, visual presentations, and video and photography initiatives to promote the president and the unique events, environments, lifestyle, and opportunities offered at SCAD. You will research, develop, and design visual content for the SCAD president's digital platforms and public speaking engagements (internal and external); strategically conceptualize, implement, and enhance projects to meet the ever-changing digital landscape; and proactively anticipate content needs. You will be heavily involved in the ideation and planning of all executive media needs (e.g., new branding, social series, photo/video directions) and, as needed, will serve as an on-site producer for live events, interviews, walk-throughs, and other on-camera opportunities for the president of SCAD.
Among other duties, you will work cross-functionally with SCAD creative teams (e.g., project and production managers, videographers, editors, writers, content creators, motion media and graphic designers, etc.) to ensure university-wide content alignment and success. You will work closely with the executive media team in both Savannah and Atlanta to create dynamic content for the office of the president, to plan and implement all requested productions for the department, and to ensure the established quality and sophistication of SCAD are met for each project. You will seek and create strategic communications, PR, and marketing opportunities for the president; assess ideas from creative, digital strategy, and production; and remain current on industry trends, tools, platforms, and procedures. You will also oversee project progress as it relates to budgets, timeline, pre-production through post-production, and delivery, as well as location scouting, crew coordination, research and talent prep, staff/crew logistics, and more.
The successful candidate is adept at interpersonal communication and has the candor and confidential nature necessary for interviewing and networking with high-profile visiting artists, students, faculty, and staff. Professionalism in appearance, demeanor, and communications is vital as a representative of the office of the president and in dealing with demanding requests or last-minute changes. The candidate should also be enthusiastic about researching and seeking out inspiration and recommendations to keep SCAD's digital-first creative initiatives, visual content, and social and event promotion at the level of quality expected from a leader in art and design.
