Founded in 1931, Ringling College of Art and Design (Ringling) is a private, not-for-profit, undergraduate, independent higher education success story. Having grown to 1,700 students and more than 180 faculty – Ringling has raised its academic and public profiles to that of one of the most decorated and successful art and design colleges in the nation. To build upon this success, Ringling seeks a Vice President for Academic Affairs (VPAA) to help it achieve its vision of becoming the preeminent art and design college in the world.

The College offers eleven BFA programs and two BA programs in the following thirteen creative disciplines: Business of Art and Design, Computer Animation, Creative Writing, Entertainment Design, Film, Fine Arts, Game Art, Graphic Design, Illustration, Motion Design, Photography and Imagining, Virtual Reality Development, and Visual Studies.

The VPAA will be a strategic and innovative leader that serves as the Chief Academic Officer of the College. The VPAA reports directly to the President, Dr. Larry Thompson, as well as works closely with the faculty and the members of the Board of Trustees. The VPAA will join a highly creative and collaborative leadership team to execute the vision by developing the strategies and tactics that will continue to enhance Ringling's successful trajectory.

The College seeks a well-credentialed and experienced leader, with an appropriate advanced degree and a strong record of accomplishments as an artist, designer, or creative – across any of our disciplines ranging from fine arts, film, motion design, business of art and design to virtual reality--to exercise the leadership of a talented, collegial, and motivated professional community.

This is a full-time position that will be performed on site in Florida. Salary will be commensurate with experience with a generous benefits package.
