As a full-time director of university engagement, you will collaborate daily with various SCAD units, including events, exhibitions, PR, communications, photography, videography, social media, the writing team, interactive, faculty, alumni, giving, and creative ideation and design. You will present creative ideas and solutions; strengthen the university's reputation; and establish, cultivate, and maintain relationships with industry icons and luminaries to create engagement, learning, and networking opportunities for students. In this role, you will also be responsible for relationship management on behalf of SCAD on a global stage - including ensuring that the SCAD brand is consistent across internal and external channels - and will identify opportunities and generate interest for SCAD involvement in Atlanta and Savannah, Ga., as well as Lacoste, France. Attendance at major events is required for this position.
The successful candidate has exceptional interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal, and can build strong working relationships with ease. Organized and highly detailed, the candidate can expertly manage multiple projects with competing deadlines and has extensive knowledge of SCAD and its offerings. The candidate should be creative, decisive, solutions-oriented, and a proactive problem-solver. Experience with customer relationship management and event logistics is essential for this position.

Work Hours:The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally
- Six to eight years of progressive experience in integrated marketing and/or public relations, project management, events management, communications, advertising, interactive and social media, and negotiating artist, purchase, and event space agreements
Preferred Qualifications: Experience and interest in the fine arts

- Valid passport for international travel
