Radford University seeks nominations and applications for the position of Vice President for Enrollment Management and Strategic Communications.

A comprehensive public institution of more than 7,700 students, Radford has received national recognition for many of its undergraduate and graduate academic programs, as well as its sustainability initiatives. Radford was founded by the Virginia General Assembly in the spring of 1910. The State Normal and Industrial School for Women at Radford grew out of a late 19th-century effort to expand Virginia's public school system and prepare a sufficient number of teachers.

The Radford University of today offers students many opportunities to get involved and succeed inside and outside of the classroom. The University offers 76 degree programs in 47 disciplines and six certificates at the undergraduate level; 28 master's programs in 23 disciplines and six doctoral programs at the graduate level; 17 post-baccalaureate certificates and one post-master's certificate. A Division I member of the NCAA and Big South Athletic Conference, Radford competes in 16 men's and women's varsity athletics. With over 200 clubs and organizations, the University offers many opportunities for student engagement, leadership development, and community service.

Radford is located in the city of Radford (population 15,859), 36 miles southwest of Roanoke, Virginia, close to the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia. In addition to the main campus, Radford has operations in Roanoke at Radford University Carilion and Roanoke Higher Education Center, as well as in Abingdon at the Southwest Virginia Higher Education Center.

Under the leadership of Bret Danilowicz, Ph.D., who began his tenure as President on July 1, 2022, this is a moment of opportunity and promise for Radford. The Vice President for Enrollment Management and Strategic Communications will join a dedicated campus community and embrace the rich traditions and history of Radford while helping shape an even more successful future.

Reporting directly to the President and serving on the President's leadership team, the Vice President will provide vision and transformational leadership for enrollment management across all campuses and for university-wide communications and marketing. The Vice President will be responsible for achieving enrollment goals through the continued implementation and assessment of an actionable strategic enrollment plan. In a complementary manner, the Vice President will lead the development and implementation of the University's brand vision and marketing strategies to attract students, increase community engagement, and elevate the University's profile.

The successful candidate will bring vision, innovation, significant strategic and analytical capacity, exceptional communication and leadership skills, and technological savvy. The Vice President will possess significant professional experience in related fields in higher education and share Radford's commitment to student success, diversity and inclusion, and affordability.
