California State University, Los Angeles invites inquiries, nominations, and applications for the position of Associate Vice President for Faculty Affairs. The AVP reports directly to the provost and vice president for academic affairs and serves as a member of the provost's senior administrative team to provide leadership for initiatives within the Division of Academic Affairs.

The AVP understands the mission of the University and the role the Office of Faculty Affairs plays in furthering that purpose. The AVP works with the campus chapter of the California Faculty Association (CFA) to maintain good labor-management relations and lines of communication. The AVP oversees the implementation of all faculty personnel processes, policies, and procedures; provides counsel and advice to the provost on all faculty personnel matters; and provides leadership to develop new faculty personnel procedures for the campus. Cal State LA is one of 23 campuses within the California State University system. The University serves about 27,000 students and offers 60 bachelor's degrees, 54 master's degrees, and four doctoral degree programs led by award-winning faculty.
