Position Summary: The Business Intelligence Developer will be responsible for working with business application users to determine requirements for a variety of reporting and analytical projects. These reports will help to drive the fundraising efforts of the University and its affiliated foundations. Our platform is SQL Server 2014 and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SAS Visual Analytics. This person will also be responsible for building and maintaining SSIS packages for data warehousing. Our team is looking for a dynamic report developer who can build complex reports and dashboards that are effective, useful, and eye-popping.

Education Requirements: Graduation from a four-year college or university with a degree in information technology, engineering, telecommunications, computer science, or a field closely related to the nature of the position and four years of progressive experience in the field of information technology. Experience in the field of work related to the position’s role may be substituted on a year-for-year basis. One year of additional experience is generally required to progress beyond the minimum level.

Qualification and Experience Requirements:  Must have advanced SQL Skills. Experience using SQL Server Reporting Services or similar platform. Creativity, problem-solving and strong verbal and written communication skills are essential functions in this role.

Preferred Requirements: 5+ years experience using Transact-SQL in a complex environment. 2+ years experience building complex reports with SQL Server Reporting Services. 1+ years experience with SAS Visual Analytics or similar tool. 1+ years experience building SQL Server Integration packages for data warehousing Previous experience in Higher Education or Non-Profit Fundraising environment. Experience with Blackbaud CRM.
