Associate Director, Real Estate Center and Finance Faculty-Instructor

The Department of Finance at Texas Christian University invites applications for the position of Associate Director of the Real Estate Center in the M.J. Neeley School of Business.  The Associate Director also will be an Instructor in Real Estate and Finance.

The Department of Finance has 15 full-time faculty members, who consistently publish in leading finance and real estate journals.  In past years, members of the Department of Finance have had papers published in the Journal of Finance, Review of Financial Studies, Journal of Financial Economics, Financial Management, Journal of Banking and Finance and other leading finance journals.  Faculty have also published in Real Estate Economics, Journal of Real Estate Research, Journal of Real Estate Finance and Economics and other leading real estate journals.  The Real Estate Center enhances the quality, prestige, and national visibility of real estate programs at the Neeley School of Business by working with faculty and industry partners, and assisting students searching for excellent employment opportunities in real estate.

 

REQUIREMENTS

The Associate Director of the Real Estate Center will work with the department chair, dean, finance department faculty and board of the Center to promote student activities related to real estate education and to build relationships with and programming for the real estate industry.  The Associate Director will also be a faculty member within the Department of Finance and have teaching responsibilities for undergraduate and/or graduate real estate and finance classes.  Candidates for the Instructor position must have completed at least a Master’s Degree in business with a focus in real estate or finance.  The applicant for this position should be capable of effectively teaching real estate and finance at both the graduate and undergraduate level.  Successful candidates will have significant experience in the real estate industry.  This position will be available starting in August 2018.
