Western Washington University invites nominations and applications for the Dean of Western Libraries. The new Dean will have a strong understanding of the vital role of the libraries in the life of the campus. Supporting the Dean is a team of committed and creative faculty, staff, and students, who are passionate advocates for student success.

The Dean of Western Libraries provides strategic and administrative leadership across the Libraries and is supported by a Library Administration team comprised of an Assistant Dean, Operations Manager, Communications Manager, and Facilities Manager. The Dean of Western Libraries has the opportunity to facilitate and support the improvement of library user experiences and access to resources, from first-time visitors to the most seasoned researcher. The Dean is an active and visible leader within both the university and greater community, with responsibilities for engaging in Advancement and Fundraising activities that benefit the Libraries' mission.
